This is how it would work: every meet up would have a tournament, which wouldn't interfere with the casuals and coaching matches. I figure one set up for the tourney, and however many set ups we have wherever we are for everything else. You wouldn't HAVE to participate every session. It would be up to you. In other words, if you can't make it to a meet up, or just don't feel up to it that day, that's perfectly OK.
Instead of a prize or payout for winning each meet up, the top five placers are awarded points. Five points for first place, four points for second place, three points for third place, and so on. At the end of the season (which I figure would be mid December), the person with the most points is declared the winner. And of course, the top three are rewarded for their skill, with prizes provided by me.
Ranbat play would be yer typical American style rule set: three rounds, best two out of three matches, winner keeps his (or her) character while the loser may counter pick. To make it interesting, since I know that a few people prefer five rounds, individual matches may be played in that format if both players agree in advance and let me know before playing their match.
The first session would be our next meet up, next Saturday at GrandLan. One PM, though the tourney would probably start later, whenever everyone showed up and felt comfortable. Sound good? Let me know.
